Our Founder

Irene Ang’s dedication and passion for the arts and entertainment scene in Singapore coupled with her vision for a platform where talent could thrive set the foundation for FLY ENTERTAINMENT. ​

Irene became a household name starring as Rosie Phua in Singapore's longest running sitcom Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd and subsequently Phua Chu Kang Sdn Bhd, for which she was awarded Best Comedy Performance by an Actress at the Asian Television Awards.
As a businesswoman, Irene’s many accolades include being an invited speaker at national forums, nominated for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and honouree of Spirit of Enterprise as well as being named Top 25 Most Powerful Businesswomen of 2008 by The Executive Magazine. ​
She also holds the honor of being the first Singaporean actress to serve as a jury member for the International Emmy Awards. ​
Irene currently sits on the Media Development Authority (MDA) Singapore’s Media Festival Advisory Board and was a former board member of the National Heritage Board (NHB) under the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts Singapore (MICA)
