About Dominick

Dominick Rustam is a Canadian actor based in Quebec. Born of Kazakh origin, he was adopted as an eight-month-old baby from the Soviet Union. In 2021, Dominick became the first East Asian actor to graduate from the Conservatory of Dramatic Arts of Montreal in over 75 years. After graduation he swiftly transitioned into various roles in theatre, television and film.

On television, his credits include "Audrey's Back" (Club Illico), "No Return" (Noovo), "Les mecs" (Radio-Canada), "Reasonable Doubt 2" (Radio-Canada), and "À cœur battant" (Radio-Canada). On stage, he has made his mark in productions such as "Interior" (Usine C), "The Employees" (Théâtre La Chapelle), "Too Human" (Théâtre de Quat’Sous), and "Tony sells TICKETS" (Duceppe), "The Misanthrope" and "Lysis" at Théâtre du Nouveau Monde. In film, Dominick was seen in the feature film "The Acrobat" (Rodrigue Jean).

Fluent in English and French, Dominick is also conversant in Russian and Spanish. He recently founded Yuzu Productions theatre company with a collective of Asian artists in Quebec. They created a show called Demagogy of Dragons which examines the existential quests for self-discovery, Asian identity in Quebec and the duality of young new Quebecers.

A huge cinephile, Dominick enjoys organizing his collection of “Cahiers du Cinéma” magazines on his days off and playing the guitar.

Dominick Rustam is proudly represented by FLY Entertainment in Asia and Agency Goodwin in Canada.
