About Dominick

Dominick Rustam is best known for his early breakthrough when he was cast in The Misanthrope and Lysis at Théâtre du Nouveau Monde, establishing him as a rising talent in one of the province’s most prestigious theatres.

Born in the Soviet Union of Kazakh origin and adopted into Canada as an infant, Dominick grew up in Quebec and trained rigorously in the dramatic arts, ultimately becoming the first East Asian actor in over 75 years to graduate from the Conservatory of Dramatic Arts of Montreal.

Since graduating, he has moved seamlessly across mediums, appearing in television series such as Audrey’s Back (Club Illico) and À cœur battant (Radio-Canada). On stage, he has built a strong presence in productions like Interior (Usine C), The Employees (Théâtre La Chapelle), as well as the feature film The Acrobat by Rodrigue Jean. He is also the co-founder of Yuzu Productions, a theatre collective of Asian artists whose debut work, Demagogy of Dragons, explores identity, duality, and the lived experiences of young Asian Quebecers.

Dominick brings cultural depth and a strong artistic point of view to every project. His commitment to meaningful storytelling and representation makes him a compelling choice for contemporary and socially resonant roles.
